Stardate: 3/7/2008 International Women's Day in Ukraine

Happy International Women's Day! What that means here is that mostly everyone is partying. Men throw a little work party for their female coworkers which usually includes drinking vodka, wine, cognac, etc and eating. They may sing karaoke or play some mildly silly or tintillating games (sexual harassment is the name of a cocktail here-just joking-there is almost no feminist movement to speak of and occasionally you witness prime time sexual harassment).

Women receive flowers or little gifts from their men (except me, of course!). Men's Day is Feb 23rd and pretty much celebrated in the same fashion.

In honor of Women's day, here's a little photo that Pat took recently of twin Ukrainian beauties' booties. He thought it was hysterical that they were dressed identically.

Well, cheers to the freedom to wear whatever we want! Yeah feminism!
